Leftover food from festival catering each day is donated to 2 sea turtles who live nearby at Marine Educational Environmental Center.

Tortuga has its own reef near the coast of Miami (thanks to Tortuga fans , volunteers and University of Miami!)

Around 70% of the oxygen we breath is produced by the oceans.

At Tortuga 2024, almost 115 tons of material was diverted from the landfill (that's over an 80% waste diversion rate).

Tortuga takes place during sea turtle nesting season so the team applies for special permits, educates staff and uses extra precautions to protect our sea-faring friends!

There are over 1,000 recorded shark species, but nearly 40% of them are threatened with extinction.
